BRIEF

We were tasked to design the identity and imagery of Palacio Helguera a boutique antique hotel . Situated in Cantabria, this XVIII-century palace has been lovingly transformed into a boutique retreat. With 11 uniquely designed rooms, each paying homage to the diverse characters of the palace's lineage aimed to provide a haven of tranquility for those seeking a high-end escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. A place where luxury meets heritage, and every moment is designed to enchant and delight.

O&R STRATEGY
We crafted a logo mark inspired by the architectural beauty of the palace, serving as the emblem for the family. Our goal was simple: to create a refined luxury brand that harmonizes seamlessly with the breathtaking interiors envisioned by Malales Canut. Keeping our palette elegant yet understated, we centered our design around black and white tones, playing with negative space to allow elements to breathe. Typography wise, we chose Ibarra Real, a Spanish typeface with roots tracing back to the XVIII century, embodying the essence of Spanish heritage and the rich history we aimed to convey.




 PRINT MATERIALS

Elevating our stationery with high-quality papers and blind embossing, every detail was meticulously considered. From whimsical door messages to playful touches throughout the hotel, we infused the brand with a sense of charm and character.






EXPANDING THE IDENTITY INTO A SHOP

As the concept evolved into an antique boutique, we explored new roads, depicting the logo Helguera into various aspects of the shop's identity, from bags to wine packaging, all while retaining the essence of the original logo.




DINING EXPERIENCE
Highlighting one of the hotel's standout features, the presence of a Michelin-starred chef, Restaurant Trastámara carries forth elements of the brand identity. From typography to color schemes and subtle prints, the dining experience seamlessly complements the overarching brand narrative, ensuring a cohesive and immersive stay without ever having to leave the sanctuary of Palacio Helguera.


 

GUEST BOOK
Meet Juan Mateu de Ros a passionate storyteller. Inspired by the characters that lend their names to each room in the grand palace, he crafted 11 captivating tales. Filled with humor and historical intrigue, these stories bring the palace to life as the characters weave their way through its halls, creating a delightful narrative that's now shared with guests as a cherished souvenir.
